Prime-Minister Dr. Balkenende pays an official visit to Japan

The Prime-Minister of the Netherlands Dr. Balkenende paid an official visit to Japan from 24 to 27 October 2009, together with the Netherlands Minister of Education, Culture and Science Dr. Plasterk.They were accompanied by the Dutch Innovation Platform. The main aim of the Innovation Platform is to encourage innovation in the Netherlands. The visit commemorated 400 years of trading relations between Japan and The Netherlands, but also focussed on future economic and political collaboration.
