Fashion-designer and illustrator Sonja de Boer and photographer Daan Archer have been selected for the SICF, 9th Spiral Independent Creators Festival. On May 2 and 3 Sonja de Boer, a Tokyo resident since 2007, exhibits a selection of her latest fashion designs based on the Japanese tradition of the crane-bird. Daan Archer, South African-born and currently residing in Tokyo, shows pieces of two ongoing projects, 'Ushers' and 'Together We Are', in which he aims to capture "these dualistic moments of embracing solitude and collective individualism".
