This exhibition will display the ten folding-screens that were presented to the Netherlands by the Japanese government as a return gift for receiving the navy steamship Soembing from William, King of the Netherlands. The folding screens are preserved in the National Museum for Ethnology in the the Netherlands and this will be the first time for them to be displayed in Japan.
