The concept of silence has many different connotations. As absolute silence does not exist for people that can hear, silence is relative. Silence can refer to emptiness, but a silent moment can also be filled with meaning. Silence can be something people long for in a hectic and noisy society, but can become frightening when it represents death, the end of life. This exhibition shows so many faces of SILENT through the works of contemporary Art. We also curate with collaborating curators in Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art and Tanja Elstgeest, independent curator from the Netherlands.
